ESA Conference 2015 – Dublin

EUROPEAN SOCIETY FOR AESTHETICS CONFERENCE 2015

The European Society for Aesthetics would like to invite you to attend the ESA Conference 2015. The conference will be co-organised by the ESA and The School of Art, Design and Printing and The Graduate School of Creative Arts and Media (GradCAM) of Dublin Institute of Technology, and will take place in Dublin from the 11th until the 13th of June 2015.

    • Carole Talon-Hugon (Université de Nice Sophia Antipolis, France)
    • Francisca Pérez Carreño (Universidad de Murcia, Spain)

Programme

We will have both systematic and historical presentations of papers from different traditions and on a large variety of topics in philosophical aesthetics. For each talk, there will be time for a 20-minute presentation, with about another 25 minutes designated for discussion. All accepted papers would be eligible for publication in the proceedings of the ESA.

Venue

DIT, 7 Grangegorman Lower, Dublin 7

The Campus is situated centrally with good public transport links on the LUAS (tramway system). The stop nearest the DIT Grangegorman Campus is Smithfield.

A catered lunch will be available each day. Lunch vouchers can be purchased at the registration desk for €5 each.

Accommodation

It is advisable to book places with access to the LUAS red line or the 46A bus.

The Smithfield LUAS stop is 10 minutes walk from the college while the 46A bus stops at the entrance to the campus on the North Circular Road.
Places with proximity to the LUAS include The Ashling Hotel, Blooms Hotel, The George Frederic Handel Hotel etc., while those close to the 46A route include, The Castle Hotel, Barry’s Hotel, The Maldron Hotel.
